Distributing food is only part of ending hunger in San Francisco and Marin. We also advocate at the local, state, and national levels for policy reform and program improvements to address the root causes of hunger.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank has been a leader for over 30 years. We began serving our community in 1987, and in the time since, we’ve pioneered many successful programs that food banks across the country have used as a model for their own services.
