A number of organizations serve free, nutritious meals at a centralized location to anyone in need of food.
St. Vincent de Paul (in San Rafael) serves a hot breakfast, lunch and a take-away dinner seven days a week.
There are organizations that serve free, healthy lunches and snacks to anyone age 18 and under every weekday during the months that school is not in session. No proof of need, registration, or identification is required. See links below for locations or text “FOOD” to 877-877.
Find lunch and social activities for seniors, 60+ years of age. Some sites require a reservation and some also serve eligible adults with disabilities, ages 18-59. A small donation is suggested but no one is turned away due to inability to contribute.
Connect with a nonprofit that delivers prepared meals to the homes of low-income seniors and/or adults with disabilities. There may be a waitlist for this service.
