Marin nonprofits are on track to feed those in need throughout the county this holiday season, but like every year more help is needed.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank plans to distribute about 170,000 pounds of food for Thanksgiving through its county network of 40 pantries. In years past, more than 4,000 Marin households are served for Thanksgiving.
To stay on track for the remainder of the season, the food bank needs more than 1,000 turkeys, as well as donations of nonperishables such as stuffing, gravy and cranberries. Read more from Marin Independent Journal Reporter Adrian Rodriguez in his story published on 11-19-17
